wxMaxima 인터페이스는 사용자와 Maxima(핵심 수학 엔진) 간의 소통이 이루어지는 콘솔을 제공합니다.
이러한 소통은 셀에서 이루어집니다.
Input, Text, Title, Section, Subsection, Susubsection, 다른 cells에 대해 알아보자.

(%o1) x²y - xy²
①은 셀 프레임으로, 특정 셀이 얼마나 멀리 확장되는지를 나타냅니다.
②는 '입력' 참조입니다. (%i1)은 입력 번호 1을 의미합니다.
③은 입력한 실제 입력입니다. 세미콜론(;)으로 끝나야 합니다.
세미콜론을 직접 입력하는 것이 아니라 [shift]+[enter]를 누르면 wxMaxima에서 세미콜론을 표시합니다.
모든 입력은 [shift][enter]로 끝내야 합니다.
④는 '출력' 참조입니다. (%o1)은 출력 번호 1을 의미하며, Maxima가 생성한 결과를 가리킵니다.
⑤ Maxima가 생성한 실제 출력입니다.

명령을 다시 실행하려면 수식을 클릭하고 Shift+Enter
또는 Cell / Evaluate 명령을 이용하면 된다.
Evaluate Cell(s) : 수식을 클릭 했을 때만 활성화됨.
